REPLACE DON’T RETREAD

September 18, 2019 –

People often have old tires retreaded (they place a new tread on the old worn casing) and drive on as if they had a new tire.

Many individuals try to retread their lives and think they have a new life. But, a new reality, a new life, results from working with God to replace old negative thoughts and attitudes with new ideas and a positive outlook.

Fortunately, God is not in the retreading business; He replaces our old life with a new life. Saint Paul writes, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (Romans 12:2, NLT)

Here are 21 ideas to aid you in your reality transformation.

Replace “doubt,” with “confidence.”

Replace “impossible,” with “possible.”

Replace “I’m tired,” with “one more step.”

Replace “I’m limited,” with “I’m outside the box.”

Replace “I am not,” with “I am.”

Replace “I am a failure,” with “I failed.”

Replace “I am no one,” with “I am someone.”

Replace “hate” with “love.”

Replace “try” with “do.”

Replace “me” with “team.”

Replace “blame,” with “what went wrong?”

Replace “past” with “present.”

Replace “you’re wrong,” with “Let me think about that.”

Replace “underperforming,” with “stellar performance.”

We all need to think about replacing old worn-out attitudes and beliefs with a new set of wheels and a new reality. Think of replacing and not retreading.
