Thank You is Often an Opportunity to Build a Relationship

November 13, 2019 –

Many people are unaware of an opportunity when it presents itself. They blindly go through their day, zoned out, unaware of the moment. But opportunity once gone is gone. The people who too late recognize they did not seize an opportunity do well to take to heart the words of Cameron Diaz, “Your regrets aren’t what you did, but what you didn’t do. So take every opportunity.”

Take the opportunity to say thank you because it teaches us to appreciate the role others play in our lives. If you are in business, beat customers and clients to the punch and thank them for their patronage. Remember, you operate your business because of satisfied customers.

I suggest you shake the hand of the next serviceman and woman and the first responder you encounter and say, “Thank you for serving. I know you are a volunteer, and I appreciate the sacrifices you make.”

“Therefore, as we have opportunity, we must work for the good

of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.”

                           (Galatians 6: 10, HCSB)
