9 BE ALWAYS READY

May 8, 2019 –

“Always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.” (l Peter 3:15, HCSB)

If you are having trouble witnessing and you want to do God’s will, remember there’s only one way: Take time to prepare yourself through prayer and Bible study.

A man has a problem. He has wronged God and must get right with Him. All mankind everywhere faces the same problem: How to gain a right relationship with God.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23, HCSB)

God wants to restore the broken relationship and has provided a way. “For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, HCSB)

God says to us, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved”. It’s belief (faith) plus nothing! It’s God’s gift, His grace, and your faith. That’s it! Only when you can tell someone else about God’s saving grace, will you be able to experience the joy of leading them to Christ? Right now draw a mental picture of your own conversion experience.

  1. Focus on what your life was like before and after this experience.
  2. Visualize when and where it happened.
  3. Recall how it happened; all the circumstances.
  4. Be specific why you know it happened.
  5. Know how this act of faith determines your relationship with God today.

It’s essential you know you are saved and why. This is what you will share. It’s your testimony. Be prepared to use your life as an example of what God does through Jesus Christ to bring us back into fellowship. Others may argue scripture, question your feelings, or doubt your motives, but they can’t challenge a changed life.
