I Must Desire To Witness “Open your eyes and look at the fields, for they are ready for harvest.” A Christian whose desire is to see souls saved is going to spend time witnessing. (John 4:35a, HCSB)
If you have trouble sharing with others, if you want to tell friends how Christ changed your life, remember your ability to witness starts with your desire to be used by God. Develop the desire to witness, and you will Ask God to help you develop a desire to witness. Set aside ten 10 minutes each day this week for personal contact with God.
In this private prayer time, ask God to generate in you a new commitment to follow His will. Ask for a burning desire to share His redeeming love with a specific lost person you know.
SET MY SOUL AFIRE
Set my soul afire, Lord, for the holy work, Burn it deep within me let
thy voice be heard; millions group in darkness in this day and hour, l
will be a witness, fill me with thy power. ‘
Set my soul afire, Lord, for the lost in sin, Give to me a passion as l
seek to win; Help me not to falter never let me fail, Fill me with thy
Spirit, let thy will prevail.
Set my soul afire, Lord, in my daily life, For too long I’ve wandered in
this day of strife; Nothing else will matter but to live or thee, l will be a
witness, for Christ lives in me.
