A wealthy owner of a Rolls-Royce was driving down a bumpy road when his car hit a deep pothole, breaking the rear axle. He called up the local Rolls-Royce representative, who arranged to have the car shipped back to the factory.
The owner was pleasantly surprised when repairs were made quickly, and the car was returned. The owner knew that his warranty had run out, and he expected to receive a bill. None came. Months late, he communicated with the company about the bill.
The next day someone called him and said, “We have searched our files and found no record of a Rolls-Royce axle ever breaking.
