December 31, 2020 –
Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the size of your neighborhood than the size of the neighborhood you could have had. To remove the boundaries, you must enter new neighborhoods.
What did Sir Isaac Newton mean when he stated, “I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself, I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.” He meant that he regarded himself as only living in his neighborhood while many other neighborhoods were to explore. That insight remains valid.
You may never envision time travel, living on other planets, a cure for cancer, and so much more. But there are many discoveries to be made outside your neighborhood. New neighborhoods offer new people experiences, new opportunities, unique entertainment, new thoughts, new tolerances, new friendships, and new adventures.
Don’t let the comfort of your present neighborhood restrict you and keep you from experiencing all the wonderful things you deserve.
