Everyone Has a Story

“We are storytellers. We all live in a network of stories. The isn’t a stronger connection between people than” storytelling.” — Jimmy Neil Smith

Life has many stories that bridge yesterday with today, fantasy with reality, and the strange with the familiar. Narratives provide the wind that powers memory and our imagination. Each of us has a story or stories developed through our education, environment, experience, and entourage. The narrative can be an account of imaginary or real people and events. Stories talk to your heart, while information speaks to the mind. Allow this short story to entertain, inspire, and prompt you to reminisce about your own stories.

As you finish this story, I invite you to let it trigger life stories you have experienced or heard. Your stories are more than an accounting of your life. They also record key memories thoughts. And feelings surrounding the events.

When we record our stories, we show we’re all products of our past. And that has brought us to where we are today. Looking back on your life stories can enable you to appreciate the people, memories, and specific events that formatted your life. It is time to record your stories to pass on to future generations.
