Be In The Now

June 24, 2021 –

As I get older, I spend more time thinking about the past because there is a lot more of it. I focus on the good old days because, as I recall them, they are more outstanding than the present.

Sometimes, I spend my time longing for the future. It is here I waste precious time dreaming of my Camelot and the things that could be.  Reminiscing is all about looking at the stories and lessons from the past. Longing is dreaming about future events that may or may occur.

While the core question of the past is, “What was I?”  The essential question today is, “What am I?” Looking toward to the future, the central question is, “What will I be?  Engaging in the “today” question can lead to improvements in feelings of positiveness, happiness, and well-being.
