Dale Carnegie called Fran Bettger’s book, How I Raised Myself from Failure to Success in Selling, the most helpful and inspiring book on salesmanship I have ever read.”
This book is one of the two books I read in seven years of undergraduate and graduate schooling that I remember the title of. The other was The Magic of Thinking Big by Dr. David Schwartz.
In his book, Bettger tells of one idea that lifted him out of the minor leagues to become third basemen for the St Louis Cardinals. Bettger said this one idea —the determination to act enthusiastic — changed his life, which can change yours. As you get out of bed each morning, repeat to yourself three times, “Today, I am enthusiastic! Then act enthusiastic all day.
