FOUR WAYS TO DEAL WITH SPIRITUAL OBSTACLES

August 21, 2019 –

The initial reaction to an obstacle is to ask God for help in solving the problem. Realize you don’t pass responsibility for removing the barrier to God; you need to be involved in completing the task.

Here are ways to help you deal with the obstacles that keep you from accomplishing your spiritual goals, objectives, and activities—such things as being unfocused, procrastination, unproductive activities, and fear.

  1. Focus on the reward. “So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision – you’ll see it yet!” (Philippians 3:15, MSG)
  2. Eliminate Procrastination. We must do the works of Him who sent Me while it is day. Night is coming when no one can work.” (John 9:4, HCSB)
  3. Unproductive activities. “The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” (2 Corinthians 9:6,ESV)
  4. Eliminate Fear. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9, NIV)

When you face a big problem, remember no obstacle is too big for God.
