DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT DESTINATION?

At 5:30 P.M., when you are half-way to the airport,45 miles away, and realize you forgot your cell phone, you know it will not be a good day. As you check-in, the counter person informs you you missed your flight by four minutes and two stand-bys for Washington, DC go nowhere, you make plans to fly to Charlotte, NC. One more standby missed and you arrive in Charlotte and sat out two standbys before you arrive at Regan National Airport.

You suddenly realize it fills the entire trip with unexpected events. When you booked your flight, you thought you told the booking agent, your destination was Dulles International, and instead DCA (Regan National). You are at the wrong airport, but your bags are at the same wrong airport: DCA and the car rental reservation are for DCA.

The long day (5 A. M–4:00 P.M.) turned out okay; we recovered and moved on.

There is only one destination prepared for the Christian. Jesus said, “I go to prepare a place for you” You won’t need a cell phone, and there are no standbys when you have a ticket; you have a direct flight.

If you don’t have a ticket, reserve one today, the Apostle Paul gave the instructions for purchasing your ticket: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved!”

  1. S. It’s a prepaid ticket.
